Eight Local Shreveport Amateur Boxers Earn An Opportunity To Participate In The Mid-South Regional Golden Gloves

The Shreveport Youth Boxing Club {located at 2550 Midway Avenue, Shreveport, LA} has eight amateur boxers going to the 2018 Mid-South Regional Golden Gloves {April 6th through April 7th} in North Little Rock, Arkansas after competing in the 2018 Louisiana State Golden Gloves recently in Lafayette, Louisiana.

 

Shawn Jenkins (age 24) won the Super Heavyweight Division Championship after winning by decision over Bobby Adams (also from Shreveport) of the Stephens Youth Activity Zone.

Other Shreveport Youth Boxing Club members who qualified to participate are:

  • Joseph and Joshua Hilton (brothers) both won their respective age and weight classes.
  • Karome and Damon Williams.
  • Johnkedrik Dixon.
